I'm having a great experience at Spen Languages! I'm taking private lessons with Chrissie by Zoom. I am learning grammar, vocabulary and some idioms that I find really useful for improving my speaking. I highly recommend this academy!!
I attended SPEN languages for two terms on the Spanish beginners course and it was FANTASTIC. It was a really good course that I enjoyed and I'd highly recommend. I was nervous starting to learn a new language but with the small groups and friendly, encouraging teachers it was a great experience. The lessons were well balanced with fun tasks, theory and lots of conversation. It really helped me piece together the basics, get a good base and feel confident using Spanish. Really good place to start learning or just advancing what you already have. x
I have completed 2 terms pre-intermediate and intermediate with Jorge and he has been a really great teacher. Lots of chances to practice speaking and listening with interesting and varied lessons. Would highly recommend

Enrolled on a beginners Spanish course, then after 3 weeks of the course enforced work commitments meant we could no longer attend the day of the course. We asked for a refund but were told that this was not possible, and instead were offered vouchers to offer to friends or advertise online. After no friends interested and reposting on gumtree 4 times and spending in excess of £25 we went back to them to say we simply had no firm interest in the vouchers, and for exceptional circumstances could they now please strongly consider a refund. They still said no, despite then no longer having availability or spaces on the other beginners courses, which clearly suggest they can't be doing too badly financially! As a consequence we have tossed £200 down the drain, and are quite angry about the lack of flexibility from Spen Languages. Approach with caution.
