Great location, inexpensive, good sized room and cheap parking. Cleanliness could be better and the showers were rubbish, but overall it was fairly decent. Good for lads weekend when you really only need a place to sleep after a night out. Coffee machine was a let down though... I need a good cuppa after a night out so that was disappointing.
What an awful experience. Firstly the host Alison was rude to me upon arrival. We had traveled 5 hours and after climbing the 38 steep stairs to put room we were looking forward to a cuppa but nope no tea no sugar. There were no complimentary shower products but we had ours with us. However there was no hot water apparently upon asking the tank had run out. There was no WiFi working in our room on qny of our devices after numerous trys. Upon packing to leave my daughter reached to pull her case out from under the bed to pack and dragged our a stained pair of mens underpants stuck to her case. She was horrified. Lastly I messaged the host to inform her that we had vacated and that I had left the key and I explained about the underpants from under the bed. And over 24 hours later and I still haven't received an apology or even a reply. Avoid this place would be my advice.
The owners were very welcoming, the rooms are extremely clean, plenty of tea and coffee, breakfast was plentiful, altogether I really enjoyed my stay, and wouldn't hesitate to rebook again.
Stayed two knights. No staff. Dirty beds and blankets were very old and worn out. Found several different long black hairs in sheets. Under the beds garbage from previous guests. Extremely small shower. Self service entering, self service breakfast. Nothing without loads of sugar. Only fruit was fresh. Price wasn't very hight: 60 pounds for double bedroom each night. But I think just a little more care for quality would be in place.
This was the second time we stayed here. The rooms were comfortable, and the location was near enough to the nightlife to be convenient, whilst at the same time far enough away to be in a reasonably quiet area. We have yet to try the breakfasts as we haven't made it down in time, so cannot review their cooking.
